A WhatsApp app for iPad may finally be coming

Granted, that's as vague as it can be, but it's not the first time the company hinted at working on a standalone app for . We've heard (the owner of WhatsApp) testing such an app as early as 2021.

Meta has had a long history of not bringing its popular apps to iPad. Besides not having a standalone WhatsApp app for the device, the company also doesn't have an Instagram app for the iPad, though .

There's no word on a potential iPad app for — the third major social app owned by Meta. The company does have a standalone Facebook app for the iPad, though.
